About Quiet Time for Women

We as busy women all desire ‘quiet time’ in the midst of our busy lives. And we all have our own definition of “quiet time”. For some of you, it may be a 10 min coffee break from taking care of your little ones. For some of you, it may be a short stroll, listening to music or going to a book store to browse books. For me, my quiet time is spending some intentional time with the Lord, preferably in the morning, reading and meditating on the Word and spending some time in prayer. Whatever your version might be, we women all need “quiet time” to nourish our soul and nurture our bodies, mind and spirit.

I know we are all in different seasons of our lives. Some of you are moms, some of you are students, some of you may be young professionals, and some of you may be at the stage where all your children are grown up and you are enjoying your quiet life once again… some of you may be going through a tough season where your faith is being tested…

Wherever you are, however different we are…

We ultimately all have the same purpose in life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord all the days of our lives by loving the Lord and loving the people around us through whom God has blessed our lives. After all, we are all on the same journey…

I pray that this blog will be a place where we would be encouraged, comforted, challenged. I pray that this will be a place where we can pray for one another, keep one another accountable and also celebrate our blessings by sharing our ‘quiet time’ where we gather our thoughts, get recharged and rejuvenated.

I also want this blog to be a place where we share our stories. I believe God blessed each one of us with our own unique stories to fulfill his purpose. I also have my own stories - stories of triumph, struggle, pain and heartache and testimony of God’s amazing grace and redemption.  As we get to know each other, little by little I will share with you my own story… my daily journey and my walk with God and my thoughts as well.

I will also share the resources that help me to live more intentionally, ways that I de-stress myself, books that I love, places and people that inspire me, my personal goals or even my favorite coffee/food - basically my “quiet time”.  I am sure you all have your goals, hopes and dreams and resources that help you! Please share with us! Let us cheer and pray for one another and run the race well together. Shall we begin?
